some things to remember…
Went to the Kinetica Art Fair this weekend and took this little video of artist Tim Lewis’ work. Best “art fair” i’ve ever been to i dare say.
Ever wonder what you’d look like if you were magical? For the low price of $150 you can get your very own personalized celestial soul portrait created by master portraitist Erial Ali.
First he’ll arrange a phone consultation where he’ll ask you about your interests and then you submit a hi-res photograph that you feel embodies you to the 7th chakra. He’ll then summon his psychic abilities by meditating to get your “unique essence”. Once Erial “gets who you are” he’ll create your stunning portrait and send you the hi-res file on CD which you can do what you like with! Use it on your website or print hi quality photos or medium sized posters from it! I know what i’m asking for my birthday!
This french sculptor Bernard Pras work is amazing. Very much in the same vein as Jason Mecier’s work, Bernard Pras also creates 3D paintings from found objects very often making references to everything from pop culture to famous artworks.

London based designer/illustrator Owen Gildersleeve, is known for his precise multi-layered, paper cut illustrations, (like the one above) a piece made up of 2000 squares of colored paper for Wired. His work has been commissioned for The TATE, the Guardian and the New York Times, amongst others, and he was recently feature in Computer Arts illustrators to watch.
Aaron Horkey is an amazing artist from the depths of the midwest. A small farming town in Minnesota to be exact. His work is found from rock posters to skate decks and his extreme attention to detail is astounding. I couldn’t find much about him but you can see more of his work here.
