Clenched teeth in Moscow over 1950s war memorial in Sofia given makeover by spray-painting street artist

was gonna post this a while back but it’s been sitting in my drafts folder until now…
So I guess the banksy piece got vandalized before I ever got a chance to make it to china town to check it out. Total bummer. And it was vandalized by “The splasher” who is/are serial vandalizer(s) from New York(?) These guys are notorious for splashing paint on freshly painted wall art and slapping a manifesto on the side. Honestly what does it take to splash paint on something? chumps taking cheap shots because they don’t have the talent to do something artful themselves? And then they hide behind this thin veil of intellectualism and snarkiness and proclaim what they are doing is making a statement. meh i don’t buy it.
Wow he’s at it again. The French artist named Invader. This time using rubik’s cubes squares in a show in London. I’ve always loved this guys work straight up from the beginning and would catch his stuff in the most random of places last year while I was traveling. Wish I was there to go to this show.

Low Fidelity, a new solo show by the artist which runs until 17 September at London’s Lazarides Rathbone gallery in central London, will include new works created out of Rubik’s cubes and inspired by classic album covers, work that utilises QR bar code technology (photograph it on your mobile phone to decode the works into text messages), as well as new space invader-inspired artwork.
